Re: 2018 Antwerp Airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news

A free parking ticket for every customer in the bar, e.g. consuming more than €10 ? I was having the same idea? Why not give a voucher for the parking or so for customers of the restaurant. This year I have been at the airport 3 times , 2 times for lunch, 1 time to drop off some relatives for the B...

Re: VLM (SHS Antwerp Aviation) news 2018

What about the future of the remaining OO-VLS? And what about the other 'assets' from SHS Antwerp aviation? Tradename VLM? Slots at LCY? AOC? Apparently ,just after the stop of activities, there were quite some interested parties to take all this over in 1 'package'. Has this been formalized alread...

Qeshm Air (Iran) to add Belgrade as a technical stop on its A320 service from Tehran to Brussels and Hamburg from 30 November 2018.
Stop at Belgrade to refuel,I presume. Are oilcompanies in BE/GE/... again refusing to supply kerosine to Iranian planes for fear of US sanctions?

Re: 2018 Antwerp Airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news

It seems the Belair brasserie at ANR is shrinking down its opening hours the coming weeks/months. No opening on mon, tue, wed and on thursday only from 11till19. Open in the weekend though fm 11 till 22hrs. Reasons claimed: no longer its own entrance and stopping of VLM-flights which led to a lot less...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

Two days ago I was flying EDI-BRU on SN. A large number of passengers were connecting in BRU to a score of European destinations and to TLV. I ask again: network airline or point-to-point? Carsten Spohr is of bad faith if he doesn't realise this. Valid point indeed. Last year(sept) we came back fro...

Dismantling .... (see : https://flightlevel.be/58195/oo-sfn-bru ... nst-vloot/)

Didn't I read somewhere last year that one of the ex-SN A330's,in view of these being amongst the eldest A330's still flying, would be evaluated by Airbus for doing some structural testing?

Re: 2019 Antwerp Airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news

ANR to HAM in 1h20, to NCE in 1h50... simply not possible with an ATR72. Saab 2000 maybe? By coincidence I received this week a promotional email of 'valaisprive' which is about to set up daily links between LCY and Sion with DO328Jet equipment. The flights between UK and CH are offered 'for member...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

However, the "armchair" manager that I am, finds it difficult to understand that a replacement aircraft (if no own aircraft or LH Group aircraft could have come to the rescue, a wet lease, it is not high season, as far as I know) was not available to limit the damage to the image of the a...

NCE won't be back at OST. The TUI spokesman said that you don't really need a plane to go Nice. Why don't they tell the real reason? NCE is not the same as BCN. BCN is not only BCNcity with its citytrips (both ways),but also commerce and industry, trade, football, seacruises,VFR, catalan politicians(...

Not mentioned here, but it seems they are stopping next year flights to BCN from ANR and OST.
That's a pity I would say. :(
I had the impression these flights were doing well. The ones I saw being handled at ANR were most of the time close to full, both ways...

About "mismanagement" at Aviapartner: I wonder if you have seen their annual account 2017. That is not "mismanagement": that is "survival modus". They were saved by the payout by the insurance company of their 22/03/2016 damage (4,5m). If not, I doubt they would still ...

It also seems they have a bigger interest in Antwerp since VLM stopped the operations. I wonder if they are one of the bidders for some parts of VLM. Their intended network from Antwerp now showing London, Hamburg, Zurich, Geneva, Sion, Nice and Chambéry. Yes, and operating under the brandname 'Fly...

Only once they had their first aircraft, I started to doubt. Simply because it was quite obvious to those with experience in ticketing & the travel trade, that things were going wrong. In brief: * announcement of the first revenu flight was postponed a few times; * too little time between “book...
