Isn't this a topic about "Long haul" charter flights :?: I don't think I had to specify and was clear enough. And if.... Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium ever will start his own long haul charter flights, then I only hope that they will have a similar service as the one we used to have ...

I don't say that there never has been problems with SOBELAIR, but at least then you had a Belgian charter,
-upon which you could rely,
-with Belgian crew which spook at least three languages,
-with good maintained and safe aircraft and
-with a good service.

300,00$ or 230,00 € one way isn't quit low fare. With taxes and return ticket your price will be easily 500,00 €. If you look a little bit around, and make your reservation a bit in advance you pay less with regular airlines. At the end of this month I fly to Washington DC - Direct flight with Unite...

Thinking about that, I really miss Sabena : Nice and modern fleet, a brilliant safety record, splendid maintenance and friendly crews... Regards, Robin Bamps. Just the same excellent service as we were used to have from SOBELAIR too. A good company who's declared bankrupht without ANY reason

No, I din't take a picture of that culprit, I changed a little bit my position so that I could continue to take pictures without that stupid guy in front of me. In fact it was not that much because he was in front of me ( I know more than enough ways to handle those problems :D ) but it was more the...

Respect for each other !!

This late afternoon I was at the landing lights at 25L for some landing shots into the sunset. After some time an other "spotter/photographer" arrived, putting his bike against the landing lights just one line in front of me, putting himself up right on the boxes of the landing lights powe...

Vonsmalhausen, Of course it wasn't just my paperwork but -especially in the beginning- having a Chief of Airstaff or a Attaché to support or sign the request was surely more important. Once introduced into the "airshow display world" it was sometimes easier to make some arrangements. Regards

Thanks for the comments. Levent, In 1991, I had a first occasion to fly with the Patrulla Aguila. Since then I flew maybe 20 to 30 airshows with them. . As at that time, being the "official photographer" for Belgian Air Force and Public Affairs Offices it was probably also a bit easier to ...
