Re: SN : fired for two boxes of Destrooper's ?
Hold on guys!!! You talk about regular jobs. Flight attendant is not a "normal job". Eating a biscuit, driking a coke in a plane is not stealing as long as it not taken from the pax and as long as it's not kept after the flight. For me a flight attendant is to be considered as a cook in a ...

Re: 2010 Liège Airport (LGG) latest news
Brakes fans are optionals on some A/C's like the A320, and studies needs to be done to see whether it is necessary to have them or not, the brake fans have a weight and a tag price, they are most of the time used on high elevation airports with high AOT,short runways and really needed particularly ...

Re: 2010 Liège Airport (LGG) latest news
At MST with B747/200 brakes sometimes run hot, due the short runway lenght. But this is mainly the problem, when A/C has a late landing (so overruns ideal landingspot). Also due to the runway has a "small bump" in it, the runway for a pilot seems shorter (since he can not see the end) the...

Re: Liège Airport (LGG) latest news
Dear Haflinger, Let's focus on the discussion, we are talking about airports, not about Opel or whatsoever. In some cases I do agree, but on this I don't...and I would like to ask you just 2 questions: * Can you find me ONE other European cargo-airport where the investment is abou half of the costs ...

Re: Liège Airport (LGG) latest news
Dear Jan, I will not discuss how much the military are charching the civilians, as I don't even know the amount at all, but as you launched the idea: have you got an idea how much the government is charging the civilians to "subsidies" LGG airport for example (Or CRL?) ? Ever seen how man...

Re: A380 vs Dreamliner (787) vs Concorde
This is almost like a poll... anyway if you feel like it post which aircraft is the best in each of the following departments: Hi, You can hardly compare these aircrafts, they are designed for different missions, different purposes. Anyway... looks: Very subjective, but for me, it's the concorde. c...

They have gone far beyond safety margins. This must be forbidden. The JAA should do something about this incident, people could have died!! Notice the wingtip missing the ground in the left turn after the low-pass... Even though the pilots had a visual estimation of distances, there might have been...

Charleroi should have invested much earlier into a longer runawy to accomodate cargo-flights as well as long-range flights from Asian carriers. The Wallon Government needs a kick i their buts for not having appointed a person who really understands the up's and down's of international airline-busin...

Lot of jealousy!!! Guys, Keep arogancy out of the cockpit and keep your customers happy and informed, T It has nothing to do with arogancy. Employees have the right to say, STOP,when the management is going too far and act in a silly way. Employees should just be screewed and obey? A sudden strike is bad, because, no...

To those who think that: - A hard landing is not a good landing - Deploying airbrake in short final is dangerous (or forbidden). - Deploying spoilers without contact with the ground is possible. A normal landing is a positive landing, for an airliner. When you have enough runway available, you can s...

You'll still be allowed to fly without RVSM after 2007. RVSM is not necessary for the 146. The ceiling is 31000 with RVSM, without it's 28000, no such a difference. For GNS-X, I guess it's true, but here again, it's not a big work. Concerning the topic, I have serious doubt SN would expand in Africa...

The planes used for the minihub would come from SN (the 6 BAE146) which have to undergo serious equipement upgrades to comply with the stricter naviation performance requirements in the EU as from 2007 (deemed too expensive for these old planes) and would be on surplus anyhow once a full merger bet...

It wouldn't make sense for boeing to design a completely new double decker, as they are stating that the expecteg sales in this segment should be low. If they build a VLA like the A380 they would kill the A380 but their own project at the same time... But concerning the B747 replacement, the jumbo i...
