Re: BRU Summer 2026: news, new routes, airlines
Yeah, sure, mister knows everything better including offending people quite often. Maybe course in communication skills? Just an advice. Each company have a close eye on the budget. For crews many times it's very basic. As said before, there are a lot of hotels around the airport. If they would do ...

Re: BRU Summer 2026: news, new routes, airlines
Why would Transavia need hotel rooms in Brussels? If they have planes based in Brussels, they should employ local pilots. Transavia FR pilots are hired by Air France and are under Air France conditions. Transavia NL pilots are hired by Transavia NL and are 99,9% Dutch nationals. By opening a crew b...

Re: BRU Summer 2026: news, new routes, airlines
Transavia wants to open a crew base by summer 2026. "The low-cost airline is struggling to make its operations profitable in Belgium. It is facing high costs, complex planning, and inefficient deployment of its crews in Brussels. Transavia also says its future growth is hampered by a lack of h...

TUI stopped flying to Larnaca and those were triangle flights most of the time.
The demand must be huge, indeed

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2025
Hi all, Just looked at our travel office platform to book a flight to Venice, leaving 9/04, returning 12/04 to go to the General Assembly of the EU Space Networks. Can see the flights to Venice are operated by Air Baltic then ... So it means that from the beginning of the summer season the 4 Air Ba...

Euroairlines is not an airline I think but a broker??Empty flights to/from MAD thanI suppose Flights for TUI, operated in a W pattern. (MAD-PUJ-BRU-PUJ-MAD?) This would be the most logical, finger cross now that TUI find a deal for CUN as well. And maybe one day Brussels Airlines could operate them...

Re: 2025 Antwerp Airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news
There are enough fields for flight schools better geographically located and above all less expensive to operate... You also need a certain infrastructure to train, so ANR certainly has reason to exist. You can train in Charleroi with the same infrastructure there is no reason for Antwerp to exist,...

Re: 2025 Antwerp Airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news
How about flight schools? ANR is important for that.
You don't have to look only at the subsidies ANR gets, but the amount of jobs it creates & what the return in "investment" is.

It's always ok to criticize (and yes, there is material to criticize).
But, what are your suggestions to improve things without getting SN bankrupt in 12 months?

Re: Strikes affecting Belgian airports in 2025
And a new national strike on 31.03. Highly that the airports has to close again. The Belgian reputation is already very bad regarding strikes. This will cause that new airlines or existing one will think twice to still fly or not Well, without ATC, it's not only "highly likely" that airpo...

Well, it is on autoroutes. But I guess it's a mistake as it's abt the 789.
But yes, most likely that means the last 788 flight for TUI BE will be TFS, but that will probably change 200x times by then.
Ending BRU-TFS would mean bankruptcy...

Re: TUI Airline in 2025
If only Punta Cana and Cancun are working there are other solution for TUI than using it's own metal like using a third party: Brussels Airlines BRU-PUJ-CUN-BRU or TUI netherlands with a W pattern flight AMS-CUN-BRU-CUN-AMS and AMS-PUJ-BRU-PUJ-AMS. Re: TUI Airline in 2025
The last remaining TUI BE 787 will be moved to another TUI Airline as from next winter. No more TUI long haul from BRU by Winter 25/26. Maybe TUI made the mistake of sticking to Boeing aircraft too long. The Embraers were a nice addition and a sign that they could adapt to the circumstances, such a...
