Re: Storm Ciara 09/02/2020
Festival go-arround in BRU now. 4 landings, 4 missing. With the heavy squalls on the cold-font comming in now, no improvement for the first hour.

A lot of trouble in LHR with heavy crosswind. Multiple go-arrounds and QF10 to Perth returned directly after start.

Re: Question about wind!!
No problem for a A320. Wind 10-12kt (17-20 km/h) from the nord but gusty, possible 20-25kt (35-47 km/h). Expect some tubulence in lower levels. Weather fair to partly cloudy.

Cebu as a destination may not be a bad idea at all. You'd be amazed at how many Filipino nationals there are in Belgium.
Yes, but they fly with Thai Airways with special conditions.

Re: Thai Airways launches LIVE TV on board.
So this is actually working quite nicely! What is the price for LIVE tv ?
We didn't had to pay for it. It was a simple choise on the entertainement menu.

Re: Air Belgium: a rebirth?
The A340 comming from Finnair had the configuration C45W40Y172=257 already. So, nothing is changed, only the seatcovers.

SN501 to JFK diverted to YYZ toronto. Bad weather in NY. Welcome to this forum, mdm. I have different information: SN501 was cancelled and OO-SFM was positioned in YYZ to operate SN502 JFK-BRU as soon as the storm in NYC would be over. See the "Abnormalities" thread: https://www.aviation2...
