Some interesting news today. Brussels Airport requested an environmental permit to build a temporary bus terminal on the other side of where the old DHL building used to be. According to the permit, this is needed as the current bus terminal will be used as a construction zone for the first phase o...

No indeed, it is about the 747-8, so I would clearly post it in the 'Brussels Airlines Fleet Renewal' topic instead of in the Boeing 747-8 topic

SEAGLE - Belgian Canadair Replacement?
Hi all! I was wondering if any of you have heard, and have more information about the Seagle-project. The Seagle is an aircraft that is meant to be the replacement of the well-known Canadair firefighting planes. It is an aircraft that will possibly built in Ostend, Belgium. It is obvious that the ai...

Re: LOT Polish Airlines / PLL LOT news thread
My best guess would be that LOT plans to use one type of the aircraft, let's say the A220 to operate from their biggest base in Warsaw, whilst the E-Jets can be stationed in the other bases, like Budapest for example, thus operating both fleets next to each other. This would of course mean a big exp...

Re: Ukraine crisis 2022 affecting civilian aviation
Question is how you define a "plane from Russia." As Acid-drop pointed out, registration is not very useful. Even Aeroflot operates planes on non-Russian register. Banning Russian airlines is more effective, but what of airlines owned by Russian shareholders and domiciled outside of Russi...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Repainting an A320x costs approx. $50-60,000 per American Airlines. Deadheading a crew is a marginal cost by comparison. If the goal was to maximize savings, Brussels Airlines would schedule the next aircraft to be painted on the evening BRU-LHR, then ferry the plane empty to EMA overnight, and bri...

It is said to be a "refreshed" Trident livery. The Red Devils might fly with another airline (see https://www.aviation24.be/forums/viewtopic.php?p=408754#p408754), SN wants them back! The trident logo of the Red Devils is replaced by the '1898'-logo, the official Red Devils fanclub. 1895*...
