Re: TUI fly Belgium in 2020
I was on that flight SQD-PUJ-BRU and experienced a go-around this morning at BRU when the A330 was flaring over the runway 25L at only a few meters hight . That was a first for me and I enjoyed it. WOW. Go Around are always amazing by the power: full power and less fuel == empty airplane. BTW, how ...

United Airlines (my own FF) is doing the same... status linked to USD spent and no more on flown miles.

Re: Social actions at air traffic control service skeyes (Belgium) - possible air traffic disruptions
A) => airport, EBLG = Liège
B) are the date and time, 2019 April 15th, then time in UTC (add 2 hours for local time)
D) unsure but probably a subset of B)
E) explanation (see above) + no 'air traffic control' == no crossing, no landing, no take-off except on emergency

Re: SN really turned German :(
Just wondering: where the PA calls only in English and German? Crew with Obvious German accent? Indications sortie de secours / nooduitgang now replaced by Notausgang? I was about to reply Yes as we are 1st of April, but, as you know the PA were 3-lingual and as I wrote above the crew was superb as...

Air Caraïbes: Orly - Martinique
About 1 month ago, my wife and I flew from Orly (a nightmare to join from Liège...) on Air Caraïbe in Premium Economy (Caraibe class) to Martinique. Smooth check-in, 'One' fastlane (mostly useless at the point in time), comfortable seats (width and some recline) but when the passenger in front recli...

SN really turned German :(
Of course, we all know that SN is now Eurowings and German... But what a 'shock' :o today, after a nice flight PRG-BRU, got the usual request to fill in an evaluation form for this flight, so, doing it... BUT, the evaluation scale is SO German: with the best score on the left and the worse on the ri...

Re: 2019 Liège Airport (LGG/EBLG) latest news
No more Chinese tourists, the number of passengers reduced from 300,000 to 170,000: the duty-free shop of Liege Airport, operated by the Polish duty-free specialist Baltona, closes its doors. TUI fly still operates from Liege Airport, but the number of passengers makes it unsustainable and unprofit...

Re: Air traffic control service skeyes to strike in the evening and night of 12 March
Unfortunately, they didn't follow my nice advice. Instead, they are targetting LGG, the main freight airport of the country, at the hours when it is most active. Well done, guys. Thanks for our economy! Actually, if EBLG wants to get cargo during the night, then they should have their own ATC and n...

At least, the web site is using the correct IP version (IPv6) and using Akamai as the CDN. :-) OK, I am a geek... and found of IPv6 which is the latest Internet Protocol version and Belgium is secretly the leading the deployment of IPv6 with more than 55% of Belgian Internet subscribers using it wit...
