Re: Are GRU / GIG a major opportunity for SN and BRU ?

When you such a small player as SN is right now you better focus and specialize one single and core market that you can serve properly and defend as well upon which you can build your brand recognition. For SN this is Africa, nothing new they should go full speed ahead on that continent before being...

A340 opportunity

Hi ! According to Bernsteirn Research it seems second-hand A340-500/600 are worth 60-70 m USD, however airlines would value the aircraft at no more than 20m USD. I don't know how is the situation for A340-300, the -300 is probably more succesful and therefore more expensive but if it would reveal to...

Re: Ryanair at Brussels Airport

Little by little FSNCs and LCCs are getting to a convergence point: FSNCs are increasing optionnal features such as seat reservation, snacks, baggages, etc,... while LCCs start applying simplified HUB business models close to those in use at FSNCs. Ryanair was first to understand that reducing the q...

How to upgrade to business/first ?

Hi fellows ! A friend of mine took a Jet Airways flight to Canada yesterday and he got upgraded to business class as there was an overbooking. As most companies overbook their flights based on algorithm and knowing some people won't show up what are the "best practices" to be able to hope ...

Any idea of the leave date ? As 9W keeps promoting flights from Brussels on the web (in addition to ad campaing "Win a car") so I guess it won't be before the end of the summer ?

Re: AF versus SN in AFI

It seems clear that if SN wants to remain a strong player on the long run it will need much more investments than just one or two additional aircraft and especially if those are used for US destinations. SN on its own can surely not follow the growth in capacity projected by AF but LH can help here ...

Delta Airlines set to order 20 wide bodies + 30 single aisle

According to Bloomberg Delta Airlines is about to purchase 20 wide body aircrafts and it seems talks have been held with both Airbus and Boeing. Delta currently has 158 long haul planes in its fleet. How many A330s does Delta operate ? What are the odds for Airbus to get the deal ? It also seem that...

Boeing - Airport Noise and Emission Regulation Report

The table of preferential runways is the most suprising item (even though it is well known for being a mess when seeing i...
