Indeed, the portals have been set sensitiver. But this was also obliged by the european inspections. In fact a trial was running on B pier from novermber last year till februari. @Bwest There were cuts done with securitas. But this time, the press really ment ''the airport inspection security'' (83 inspectors). By all means, the chaos now, is not due to a sudden cut (or wanted cut) in the budget of securitas. I cannot argue with that, its true. Cannot only blame procedures. ...

Just a little reply to set some things straight. the cuts for the security were not for securitas, in fact they are getting more tasks. The cuts were ment for the Airport Inspection Security. Talked to the 2 canadian technicians working on the plane in front of H41 yesterday evening, they said it was the first time that such a problem occured with the rear left landing gear on an a310. They said an inspection by airbus is expected on monday.

The Air Transat departure is delayed, and I saw the A310 3 times (and maybe missed it once or twice) lining up for landing. Anybody knows why?
