But that's not the point. So stop bashing on ppl that make mistakes when writing a non native language. You ain't perfect either, or ARE YOU? I was bashing your history lesson, not your English. I will never mock someone doing the effort of speaking in another language. Going back to the sub...

Do not forget that only since flamisch politicians got a grip on the parlement we finaly got rid of the french rulers that ruled over Flamisch speaking people. And by doing this we finaly again got prosperes again. It's a basic history lesson you got in first grade middle school. I'm sorry, maybe y...

Re: Liège Airport (LGG) latest news
With all due respect, I have very little belief that the Constitutional Court is objective in this whole north-south stupidity thing. My solution, go back to an absolute monarchy where the ruler decides for the interests of his people and economic prosperity of his country... :D Politicians in this ...

Re: The future of Brussels Airlines with Lufthansa
When you buy a car, you need to depreciate it. When you lease a car, you need to pay rent. I have no idea which is cheapest and this probably varies based on demand, but I wouldn't be surprised if leasing a plane would cost more given that it's more flexible than buying the plane and I guess that yo...

In Dutch: Seks Aan Boord En Niks Anders. To my eyes, this is just another reason why to rename back to Sabena  ... Personnally and I'm happy to see that this is shared by people accross the imaginary intra belgium border, I see Sabena as part of our heritage for all Belgians... I doubt that tr...

Re: Sabena or not...
I believe that the situation is different than in the US. In the US they are all americans flying on american companies. In Europe, you have different nationalities and you have I guess some pride in having a national flag carrier (my opinion...)

Re: Sabena or not...
->English name, these day it can be important to have a neutral name (so I mean no Frecnh or Dutch name) Sabena is for most people just a name (except for some people who I feel pity for). Doesn't make sense to not fly Air France or KLM because of the language of the company name... Maybe you can e...

Re: Sabena or not...
Sabena was a company run by politicians. I think this alone speaks for the fact that it was doing badly on the financials side. Now imagine Sabena, a private held company (no political influence or inefficiency) with a better management and no debt. The name alone already adds value to the company. ...

I would love for the Sabena name to be used again and see those birds fly. Especially the Magritte birds on the wingtips!!! It would certainly be my preferred carrier.

maybe good news though. If they open and close routes so quickly, I guess it means they have faith in the long run operations of all the other routes to and from brussels.

FIH? Doesn't look like the most business friendly environment. Especially with that general who wants to march on Kinshasha.NCB wrote:A few months ago we have discussed the prospects and possibilities of SN operating a B747-400 between BRU and FIH in the scenario of a Air DC/SN hub in FIH.

Re: Breaking news: Belgium will get new aviation tax!
They steal the money to those who are rich enough to travel. Looks fair to me. But there is a collateral dammage : the belgian airports will suffer. This kind of measure is stupid in a country where 80% of the population lives less than 1 hour away from the border, and a foreign airport. The lost i...

Re: Breaking news: Belgium will get new aviation tax!
10 EUR per flight isn't that excessive for short haul is it? If fuel prices drop, the consumers might not even feel the difference.
