Re: Turkish Airlines B737 crashes in Schiphol Amsterdam

The evidence seems to point towards pilot error: More or less it seems to be. I hope the THY1951 accident doesn't turns out to be a case where the Instructor let things get away from him (F/O incapacitation / line training / MCC) resulting in the crash of a perfectly serviceable aircraft. Ex. Turki...

Re: Turkish Airlines B737 crashes in Schiphol Amsterdam

1. Dutch law ONLY allows CVR and FDR data access in case of terrorism or criminal acts. 2. The Dutch public prosecutor (Openbaar Ministerie) has an unpleasant history of bad behaviour (ref. Boeing 737-406 PH-BTC Runway Excursion during Landing at BCN ) and isn't pilot's community friend. @airazurxtr...

Re: Turkish Airlines B737 crashes in Schiphol Amsterdam

The Safety Board is only investigating what caused the crash. The public proscecutor is investigating if someone has to be proscecuted (ex. for negligence, manslaughter, ...). These two separate investigations will therefore clash from time to time - unevitable, said a professor Dutch law on tv. In...

The ministry of Justice is very upset that the Security Council sent the black box to France without their knowledge or approval. The Dutch safety Board works 'totally' independent. Irish carrier Ryanair, Europe's largest budget airline, might start charging passengers for using the toilet while flying, chief executive Michael O'Leary said on Friday. "One thing we have looked at in the past and are looking at again is the possibility of maybe putting a coin slot on the to...

Strange remark after a reporter's question: the black boxes are transfered to the Security Coucil and the results may take months, even years to come forward.? Re: Turkish Airlines B737 crashes in Schiphol Amsterdam

What you call rumours, for most it's just a keen interest to the cause of the accident, because from that we learn and try to prevent it from happening again in the future. Anyone not interested in that is simply in the wrong business! So far we can 'only' say 1 . The aircraft was in 'Full' landing...

According to De Telelgraaf the Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) is last night transcripted. More 'official' news later today. More over, when you listen to the ATC record, the airplane was established on the ILS 18R and has been asked to contact the tower frequency (118.7 if I remember well) for the lan...

Dutch Police 'KLPD' helicopter Air to Ground 'crash site' M O V I E

As you can see there are three (3) Medivac helicopters on the ground (Dutch have 4, callsign Lifeliner).
Belgium (congested roads/high ways) have ONLY one (1) Medivac 'MUG' helicopter based in Bruges (AZ Sint-Jan).
