Re: Ryanair on board luggage policy vs air safety procedures
I have to agree with andorra-airport. The short turn around time coupled with the extra demands on boarding/gate personnel can only increase the chance of such mishaps.

Re: Air France flight AFR447 Airbus A332 missing
Sorry for the folks who don't speak French, but there's a website out there that published a strong case against some of the pitot probes installed on AF airplanes: eurocockpit.com I side with you on this one. eurocockpit.com has produced a wealth of information, sometimes drown in sarcasm and I-to...

Re: Lufthansa targetting Brussels Airlines
With all this talk of LH lurking around participations in OS, new-AZ and SN, with BA taking over IB, the AF/KL alliance which had to compete with BA and LH for consolidation in Europe is loosing ground (air :D ) very fast! Maybe that's why you start to hear AF/KL running back to Italy trying to guar...

Re: Aviapartner strike
Today, in our wellness coutries, people simply want to earn very much money and work as less as possible. I must remind you that the (un)loaders are NOT asking for a raise, but simply for a more humane way of working. That's it. Unfortunately they'll never be able to solve that problem... Because t...

Thanks for all your efforts Bart. I know its frustrating don't be discouraged :) I have been able to expierience corrupted backups firsthand, and I know it's hell. Double backups from now on (and triple verified ;-) ) Think of all the endless discussions on the fleet renewal of Brussels Airlines. Th...

Re: Aviapartner strike

When Airbus designed the A380, the A380-900 was to be the main model and the A380-800 the smaller derivative. But as prospective customers were increasingly doubting their capability to fill such a big aircraft Airbus went on to build the A380-800 first (well the customers wanted to order the smalle...

Could the Superjet replace the Avro's one day? As much as I'd love to see that I fear it won't happen. Mainly this is because the European consumer will fear the word Sukhoi and avoid those planes. So unless a big carrier, say AF/KL , LH, BA buys a significant amount of them, the acceptance will sti...
