Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
And to be completely clear, the LH pilots are proposing a 45% pay cut on their base salary, which is around 4500e brut. On average it means a 10a20% total pay cut compared to their total salary package which consists of function pay, type pay, fixed flight hours pay, etc... Now politicians in NL (an...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
initially the question is not what's good for Belgium, but what's good for Brussels Airlines to survive this crisis and I think the African ops have proven to be paramount in the survival of Brussels Airlines. Are they paramount? African ops are not viable without connecting passengers, SN has 3 A3...

Re: Impact of the coronavirus crisis on aviation
Should we not better state in reverse: Impact of Aviation on Corona ?? Indeed, three weeks ago I was shot down in fire on this forum for pointing out that Brussels Airlines was putting passengers in aircraft without fresh air despite EASA recommendations. F*ck me, there are other airlines to write ...

Re: Lufthansa in 2019
Everybody knows that SN is now a part of Eurowings Group and not LH group. Sn part of EW ? Yes, indeed! You probably missed something: https://www.aviation24.be/airlines/lufthansa-group/brussels-airlines/eurowings-will-integrate-brussels-airlines-2019/ But it still remains awkward, EW is part of th...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Brussels Airlines is not even mentioned by name any longer in the LH group results of 2018. For me it's weird as I still think Brussels Airlines still exists as an airline... Neither here https://www.aviation24.be/airlines/lufthansa-group/generates-second-best-financial-result-in-its-history-forecas...

Re: National strike in Belgium on 13 February 2019
These are only arrivals, so I guess all incoming flights to BRU will be cancelled on 14/02? No 330s leave the 12th only to return the 14th, hence the departures on the 13th 😉 there will be no Brussels Airlines plane taking off out of BRU on the 13th, those A330's will stay overnight at their destin...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
I just wonder which figures they use, if they took them from 2012 for example, they were still flying avros half empty. But things are going the good direction, so I fail to understand their calculations... It would seem less logical, but Swiss have less seats in their 330s and are flying further aw...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
The article in HLN is a perfect example of how to misuse minimal information to prove a point to the public. First of all it says it made a list of other companies salaries only to see 2 airlines... Every pilot with Brussels Airlines knows the conditions at Air France, a first officer a320 based in ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
Hi passenger, I think we understand your feelings towards pilots, 'het spat van het scherm', they are spoiled and have no right to improve their working conditions, sort of what I can read from you. You're most probably self employed in the travel business, you're most likely going to feel this stri...
