Re: Any Commercial Impact on MC21 due to MAX issues
Almost two years after the first flight of the MC21 and only two more prototypes came out of the factory, this is a strong indication of serious problems I'm not sure if you are suggesting problems with the production rate or with the Aircraft? As far as I am aware the delivery of the 4 Aircraft fo...

Any Commercial Impact on MC21 due to MAX issues
Just wondering what UAC Management in Russia are making of the 737 MAX issues? IMO the biggest disincentive to buying Russian Aircraft is the poor after sales support and service. But a secondary reason is that Russian Aircraft are perceived to be less safe than Boeing and Airbus. A third problem is...

Re: Crashes and serious incidents/accidents in 2019
Some are calling for 737 MAX to be grounded. Don't think this will happen yet but will certainly happen if the issue proves to be related to the issue that caused the Lion Air Crash.
In the meantime for me if it's Boeing I ain't going.

Re: Aeromexico signs letter of Intent for 100 Superjets
Sorry Guys, there was a story published but the link has been removed. Neither Sukhoi nor Aeromexico have published any announcements on their websites. So something us up, the Journalist went to print too early or the deal has either been scuttled or postponed. I'm a big fan of the Superjet but giv...

Aeromexico signs letter of Intent for 100 Superjets
Given the Support issues experienced by Brussels Airlines & Interjet among others this is a rather surprising order but congrats to Sukhoi. Hopefully the order comes to fruition and is big enough to allow Sukhoi to set up a decent Support Network. A few more orders of this magnitude will allow t...

I didn't hear about that one but they did whinge about subsidies to Airbus which only suceeded in reciprocal action which highlighted the level of subsidies they received; http://www.airbus.com/presscentre/pressreleases/press-release-detail/detail/wto-delivers-knockout-blow-to-boeings-record-breakin...

Hilarious War between Canada and Boeing
Boeing has complained about Bombardier selling the C Series below cost price. Nothing surprising about that, US Companies always sook when they don't get their own way, despite being the greatest manipulators of trade in history. Boeing in particular are being extremely hypocritical because they hav...

Perhaps. But there was a planned U-Turn in their flight plan.Passenger wrote: So perhaps the "U-turn" was a 180° whilst going down.

Re: Russian military plane with 92 on board disappears moments after take off from Sochi
Well there you go. Could be the flaps were either not set to the correct position by the Pilots or there was a technical issue that stopped them moving into position. Bit surprised really, the debris field seemed to be so large that I figured it must have been a mid air break up. I would never say t...

Re: Russian military plane with 92 on board disappears moments after take off from Sochi
Would be interesting to know what Cargo was on board.
This was a Military Aircraft heading to a conflict zone so I guess there is a good chance it had some Military Cargo on board.
An explosion from an accident in the Cargo Bay is probably more likely than an intentional bombing by a Terrorist.

Re: Russian military plane with 92 on board disappears moments after take off from Sochi
It was found only 1.5km off the Coast but (according to the flight chart posted on another site) it had been much further off the Coast than that, probably at least 10km. It had already performed the U-turn and was heading back towards the shoreline before setting a south easterly course towards the...

Re: Russian military plane with 92 on board disappears moments after take off from Sochi
Fuselage and Black Box have been found. I assume the condition of the fuselage will tell them straight away if the Aircraft broke up before impact. If some Passengers had Life Jackets on that would probably rule out a bomb - unless it just blew a hole in one area of the Aircraft and Passengers in ot...

Re: Russian military plane with 92 on board disappears moments after take off from Sochi
Seems like the debris field is quite large. http://tass.com/defense/922397 Given the crash occurred relatively close to the shore I am surprised they have not found the main part of the Aircraft yet. There is also a video, supposedly taken near the Airport, which shows an explosion - https://www.you...

Re: Mid Air Refueling
Yeah I agree that the Airlines will not rush into this for the reasons you have mentioned. But I also think it will eventually happen. And certainly I am talking about Tankers stationed mid-point on long routes. Specifically about 6 Stations around the world strategically located. For example Qantas...

Mid Air Refueling
Will Airliners ever be refuelled in Mid-Air? Potentially this could add a lot of range and also reduce costs be negating the need to carry as much fuel which obviously requires more fuel. Presumably the major problems are the amount of fuel required to refuel and Airliner and the safety of the refue...

Re: Metrojet Airbus A321 - Kolavia EI-ETJ: plane crash Egypt
Security is far to be optimal. In Europes I think this is more or less Ok but in some country, just to take an example in Kinshasa for example, the baggage are screen but nobody in front of the screen, if you go through the x ray, and it's ringing, no body check you, there are plenty of air port in...

Cairo Air Transport Company
Can anyone find anything out about this Airline? They are operating SU-EAF, a TU-204-120 with Rolls Royce Engines. Looks like they leased it Aghan Ariana Airlines recently to do Charter flights from Afghanistan and the UAE to Jeddah. There were 4 other similar aircraft, for memory 2 were freighters ...

Re: Aeroflot was recognized as the world’s most punctual airline
Well BA may be famous - but certainly not for punctuality. So no prizes for beating BA (at least from me) but being the most punctual in the World is a fine effort & congrats to them. Would have thought you would have needed at least 98% of flights to arrive within 15 mins to get that award thou...
