Re: Will EK (Emirates) come to BRU?

3. EK German destinations can be explained by the agreement between the 2 govs in the 80's when Lufthansa needed Sharja as a cargo hub. 1V1, any idea for what period these agreements have been signed? 30 years or something? Indefinitely? What are the chances that Germany or any other country might ...

Re: WHAT ABOUT FUEL SURCHARGE?

A lot of airlines have lowered fares over tyhe last two 2 years and added fuelsurcharge. so basically the passengers are still paying the same fares (more or less). On the other hand for airlines it has quite some benefits: 1 no commission to be paid on YQ 2 on domestic markets (not all but some ) Y...

Re: Alitalia's future

today some rumours manifested that Toto (AirOne owner) was backing out of the "concordato".

If this proves to be true this would mean trouble as the AP fleet of A320 was foreseen as the backbone of the NewCo's fleet to reduce operating cost.

Will keep you posted

Re: Lufthansa targeting Brussels Airlines

Openskies will have to come up with something very, very extraordinary to squeeze itself in this very hard market. I would largely disagree with that: Demand is there in Brussels for more NA and even NY flights. BRU has one of the largest leakage numbers of Europe towards NA. LH and BA are surely i...

ROTFL: So while you take a laugh with my ironic job description of a CEO, thus failing to see it is a parody in reply to LX's remarks, you apparently think in parody about the job of a pilot yourself, comparing it to driving abus. So while you ironically attack me as passing my position as a lazy p...

Some more glorified busdrivers who think we are still in the glorious seventies.... About the CEO statement just above here: I don't know who your CEO is, or whoch the previous were but it seems to me you have a very distorted view on what it means being a CEO, but then again you are not the onle on...

BT dry and wet leased some MD last year to fuel expansion,as it was very hard to find to B737 in these days. those were mostly used on the intra scandinavian rout...

Re: Flight cancelled & rebooked entitled to compensation or not?

well do not hundred percent agree: The EU regulations also stipulates that the airline must DO EVERYTHING possible to avoid the delay or cancellation. In an hub airport as Vienna clearly is for OS, possibilities to switch around aircraft are widely available to limit delays. so I believe he should b...

just a reaction on a post a couple of pages back: Low cost, high cost coming from the VEX people: Excuse me, if it depended on the VEX no C-class(or call it B-flex), would exist anymore, just a couple of eco fares... in the real LCC way. I am not so sure about the no more transfer pax, scrapping a codeshare doesn't mean you scrap interlinings or SPA's. It just means you don't sell on eachothers metal anymore. I would be amazed if Brussels also cancelled the interline agreements.
