I think that if you want to spot the 747's, you'd better go to Steenokkerzeel village because most 747 land at runway 25R and the Jumbo cafe is at 25L Thanks for the tip :D Are there any specific times when 747's are most active, as in what is the best time to spot them ? And is there a certain pla...

I know the Jumbo café. Indeed they are not very friendly to spotters. You need atleast 500mm to shoot from their teracce. I went overthere once, NEVER again.

Hello there, Nice to see some new spotters. The quality of your pictures is pretty good but i doubt airliners or any other submit site would aprove them. You need to crop your pictures, cut them from nose to tail and center the subject. You have got 8 Mpixel with that camera so the pictures shouls b...

Ok, this topic really got my attention. By panning you mean the visible speed the aircraft is doing like the "moving" background?
Second question: how do you shoot an aircraft at 1/20s? If i go anything below 1/320s then the aircraft is totally movement blurry.

Just one question here...... why do you shoot a moving target at 1/20s? I always use from 1/320 to 1/1000 for aircrafts moving.

Once again Airbus is doing things before asking their customers, they seem to have forgotten who buys the planes, and more importantly who flies them. All pilots who sit in the left seat are called Pilot in Command, not computer in command. Actually the Pilot in Command (PIC) is the pilot actually ...

I remember some years ago on 'het leven zoals het is: Luchthaven' that the company wasn't that very strict on safety related items. (rebroadcast of that programme soon on belgian television) There was a severe engine-leak but the captain just minimized the problem. A don't think that's a safe attit...

At that date Sabena had OO-SLA, OO-SLB, OO-SLC, OO-SLD and OO-SLE in their fleet, not mentioning the 9Q-CLI (don't think it had SN c/s at that moment, can be wrong however), so you can be right. Do you know from where it arrived? Not exactly but i know OO-SLE did alot of the routes to Bombay those ...

I for one DO think it's a hijacked aircraft that hit the pentagon but there was one thing i didn't understand. If you see pictures of the pentagon taken the day after the impact it shows that the impact whole in the pentagon is to small to fit a 757 in it, just the fuselage would fit in there. I thi...

For the part where pilots use airbrakes on short final i just don't believe it, it would be a great risc to stall the aircraft or loose control. It was during the flare, and if the pilot hadn't taken such a great risk I wouldn't be talking of it today. What he did was extremely dangerous... ...

The US and Japan are working on a new concorde that would consume less kerosine than it's previous version. The project is planned to start in June and will be participated by Boeing. Can someone confirm it is possible to fully deploy the spoilers in the air on a 67? Isn't there some kind of lock? I think you meant Boeing 767, on most airliners you have two types of spoilers on the wing, flight spoilers and ground spoilers, the flight spoilers are always in use during flight ,th...

From a technical point of view this might be a time and money saving feature in airliners.

Replacement of anything that needs to be replaced would save alot of time, kind a like "plug and play" or "plug and pray"
