Topic: Ryanair increase baggage tax!

Ryanair caters for passengers on short stays away from home. They would love to dispense with baggage handling altogether, so that passengers carry their own bags on and off the aircraft. That makes for huge savings in manpower in terms of administration, handling etc. It will also speed up check in...

With a fleet that is planned to multiply by 2.5 times by 2012, they will most likely increase frequencies on most routes. As for members on here advising against flying with Ryanair. I have flown with them a number of times and know that I take a risk of getting stranded somewhere. Carefully read th...

My girlfriend was on that flight. She did not seem too concerned she said that the aircraft was forced to circle the airport a few times before it could put down. Ryanair sorted here a seat on a flight arriving into Pisa the next day (Saturday 24 June). She arrived at 16h00.

I flew to SAW with Germanwings late in 2004. We flew in about 02h00. There was a cheap private mini bus service that took us to Taksim. Returning (again in the middle of the night) a beat up minibus took usto SAW. It was not a problem.

Standing room on A380?

I don't know where this article is coming from. The CNN article it refers to states that Airbus deny that they have offered standing seats. The A380 will seat 853 in single class formation so if that's what the airline wants they can order one. Surely all passngers need to be belted in or they becom...

Does anyone know if it is possible for BAe to float off Airbus UK as a share flotation in the UK? I for one would be interested in buying shares. It would also stand more chance of remaining British, unless EADS or Boeing makes a takeover bid.

How to build an Airbus A380 in 7 minutes

Time lapse photography is a wonderful thing isn't it? These are excellent videos by EADS. If the links are already posted here, then please feel free to delete this post.

Low cost airlines rely on high load factors to make a profit. They operate on highly competitive routes with no subsidies. If they have a crash their load factor will go down taking the airline with it. Remember what happened to Valujet. If you were running a low cost airline would you try to cut sa...

This Bloomberg article states that the volunteers were young and fit, not elderly. I would have thought elderly volunteers would be needed to ensure the test was as realistic as possible. It must have been like some sort of adventure park ride to jump on a slide from the top deck of an A380 in a to...

Anyway, I think I made my point. Every now and then the Ryanair unsafe topic comes on this forum and everytime it ends with the O'Leary fanclub against the aviation safety guys. Junker52,

I didn't pick up on that "Ryanair will be out at $100 a barrel". He has hundreds of Boeings on order. It would get very messy over in Seattle.

I don't think Ryanair has a monopoly really, if you take Belgium for an example, Ryanair has a very hard time here. I'm sure we won't see them at Zaventem in the future, if SN have anything to do with it. Yes, Ryanair has had a tough time at Charleroi, with the EU Aviation Minister getting involved...

The plane flies anyway, weather you are on it or not. But when you fly your car stays at home. Thats one car less. Yes, that is true. There is a lot of unnecessary travel these days. I know as I have to do a lot with my job, although I should be able to cut back on car mileage by at least 10% this ...

I have logged more than 60 flights on Ryanair, and I have quite enjoyed them - without having ever felt myself in danger ...!
Was that for business or pleasure? Do you consider the effect on the environment of flying that much?
