Check the image, it's OO-SUB formerly known as a Sabena Airbus A321 doing some test-flights at Brussels Airport. Looks like she is air-worth again
Thanks to Fujimonster for the picture:

And this is how she looked like for years standing in the Belgian rain!

I would say: "nice work SN Technics !"
In fact, who's the owner of the aircraft at the moment?

Indeed Fred, OO-SUA and OO-SUB were both bought and owned by Sabena. OO-SUC, the other A321 (which was painted in Qualiflyer c/s), was owned by Magritte Aircraft Leasing Ltd.Isn't the owner Sabena? As far as I remember, both OO-SUA and OO-SUB were bought by Sabena, and not leased.
Source of all that: Belgian Civil Register 2000/01.

Just "wild" thinking...where is this one going to now, to sn brussels or is our bird leaving fro another country very soon.
but maybe with the summer season...
SN allready said that their summer charter bookings are very good, so maybe the need an extra big plane for the extra bookings...
maybe... who knows...?
greetings,
ATC
What I mean is the IATA code, the aircraft can not operate using SNxxxx (I mean Sabena code) flight numbers for testing. They need to have the code of an active airline. During the spottersday of Luchtzak last year someone told SNBA wouldn't do it, so who els would take the risk of putting its code on that flight exept a potantional buyer?Simply "OO-SUB"
Greetz,
Dave
The curatele/curatelle (receivership) of Sabena is still alive and has still a lot of work: they are still the owners of Sabena Flight Academy, Sabena Hotels, etc., which have to be sold.Lyulka wrote:Sabena is gone, and the "curatele nv Sabena" (or what was it called), arent they gone too ?

Hi Fred,
EC-HAD has been sold/returned to S.A.L.E. and leased to Turkish Airlines, the first of many, seems TK will add 19 x A320's 12 x 321's and 5 x 330's plus up to 21 more B737-800 just to keep the USA happy !!
The main orders for new a/c are expected to be signed at Farnborough, along with MAYBE the SNBA fleet replacement order ....... I have been told to be at a press conference on Day 2 for something now all I need to do is find out if it really is something...............
Rgds
