Isn't LH supposed to take the remaining 55% of the shares next year? I think once the transaction is done and the economy starts to turn upwards we might actually see some things moving at SN...

After all, untill the day SN will be fully owned by LH, the Germans have more to win from a weaker SN then from a strong SN...

Here they are :D :

Passengers (000): 333,7 -21,9%
Loadfactor: 63,0% -2%
Freight (000): 8479 +3,7%

Only a few AEA members succeeded to operate more pax in April 2010 than in April 2009: Austrian +0,5%, Ukraine international +14,3%, Tarom +39,6% and Turkish Airlines +9,7%.
The worst numbers are for BMI; pax: -39,3%, Loadfactor: -7.0% (to 62,9%) and freight: -48,5%

AEA released a press release of the AEA numbers of April and the past months.
So now it's easy to see the January-April numbers for SN:

Passengers(000): 1 373,5 -0,4% (The AEA average is -2,5%)
Loadfactor: 58,0% (no change) (The AEA average is 74,7% +2,9%)
Freight(mill): 33,9 +15,7% (The AEA average is +7,0%)

So SN is performing very good on freight (thanks to AFI). The decrease in pax is rather small, so not good, but still ok because of the ash cloud in April. The loadfactor is (still) a totally disaster.

AEA numbers for May are released:

Passengers (000): 436.4 +3.3%
Loadfactor: 64.4% +2.8%
Freight (mill): 9.4 +8.5%

YTD (January-May) numbers for SN:

Passengers (000): 1 809.9 +0.5%
Loadfactor: 59.4% +0.5%
Freight (mill): 43.0 +13.1%

No bad numbers, BUT the loadfactor is still (too) low.

Thank you very much! Can we see some positive trends through these figures (eg : is the rise in PAX number above the AEA average?).

Any reason why SNs LF is declining? July should be a good month, especially now that the aviation industry is recovering Though SN is in none of the growth markets the overall performance in SN's main markets (intra-Europe and Africa) still lags the average. Is SN losing market share or is the decline BRU specific?

maybe the LF declined because they added a A330?
