@ bottie

A "76" is an Ilyushin Il-76.

Ostend used to have lots of 76's visiting but they are deemed too noisy these days. Your best bet these days is to visit Koln where they still operate "humanitarian" flights which are noise exempt.

Hi Andries,

Reliable info on upcoming IL76 flights is very rare. Permits to allow the specific plane to come are granted at very very short notice.
Yesterday's flight was also published very late !
I guess they the keep the aircraft ready at origin & let it take off once the permit is ok.
As you know, it's not easy to get an IL76 to these parts of europe  !
For now no proof of a next upcoming flight,
but you never know !!
I'll post it here if we get another one (& if I know it in time)

greetz,
wim

i was from 9 til 12 in Ostend today, i saw just 2 bizjets landing (one TO later) and a light aircraft of the local airacademy making some touch and go's
as the weather was getting worser, i dicidet not to wait for the Nimrod, taking pics would have been probably impossible anyway

It was the same Nimrod as last friday, and it left EBOS at about 1400 o'clock in bad weather.

Today the above anounced Il76 arrived at about 1800 hours, it was "ER-IBM"

Departure not known yet
