Furthermore, SN is getting rid of the A319s and wants to replace them by A320s, hence it would be strange to abandon one of its iconic A320s.

Aero Mongolia just acquired (on lease from World Star Aviation) the SN A319 formerly registered OOSSI and stored since last month as 2-SSIA.

SSQ is currently in C-check in LJU but will continue to fly for SN afterwards.

What is the reason? Maintenance, storage or maybe something else?
SNC is in EMA to be painted in Star Alliance livery.

Why not do that to OO-SNN? 🤔

Probably a cost-cutting measure: flying around in Magritte colours doesn't come for free. My guess is SN has terminated this contract to save costs and repaint OO-SNC earlier than planned. An aircraft needs to be repainted once in a while, so that's probably already 'in the books'. Flying around in Eurowings-colours doesn't cost anything extra.

One of the possibilities is to make like a "one step contract" which lasts a few years. And for me it is a stupid idea to repaint SNC while SFH is still with its old colors and SFF is not yet with its complete livery...

You think it's stupid because you know nothing about the reasons behind the repaint, but I'm pretty sure they know what they're doing.

Even in a climate where every single penny is counted? I doubt so.

Former OO-SSD in a hybrid livery with its new operator 'Tiketa Tour', a Baltic tour operator, on a sublease from Avion Express.

I saw a few pictures, put the SSC livery on SNC, change OO-SSC by OO-SNC and there you go. It means that there's no "significative" change to the Star Alliance livery except that it is adapted to the 320.

Sad to see margritte go...

But this kind of livery is nice and cheap. They could do this to OO-SFH as well ( just need to redo the tail )

Hello,

OO-SFP and OO-SFJ currently operated by Eurowings will return on June 2 to BRU. I suppose to do a check before leaving for Africa / America !
