Our partner Adria Airways informed us that it will have to temporarily suspend its flight operations. Although we were able to activate replacement aircraft, we had to cancel following flights today:
OS623/624 Vienna-Warsaw-Vienna
OS403/404 Vienna-Lyon-Vienna
OS536 Bologna-Vienna

Austrian Airlines will try today and in the coming days to cover all affected flights with replacement aircraft, but at the same time we cannot rule out the cancellation of further flights.

Customers who have provided their telephone numbers or e-mail addresses during booking, as well as members of the Miles & More frequent flyer programme, will automatically be informed of changes in the flight programme by SMS or e-mail.

We ask all other passengers to check the current status of their flight before leaving for the airport. In the event of a cancellation, passengers are requested to check their new itinerary on the Austrian website under "My Booking". We apologize for this inconvenience.

#INFO Irregularities in the flight plan
Saarbrucken-Berlin.
Due to temporarily suspension of #AdriaAirways flight operations for the next 48 hours, Luxair has unfortunately had to cancel flights to/from Saarbrucken-Berlin.

I feel kind of sad.
When OV - Estonian Air went bankrupt, JP - Adria Airways was the vehicle used to start up Nordica (also gone by now)

So, I had quite some Tallinn-Brussels flights with them, operated by a hoshposh of aircraft (even a BAe ATP from Oslo to Tallinn)
Last month even a Brussels-Ljubljana-Skopje flight. I guess the market is too fierce and LJU home market too small.

BTW, seems the Slovenian Government won't bail them out, but they rather aim for some PSO services from LJU (most likely BRU)

Adria has been given until 02 October to sort out their problems. Meanwhile its fleet seems to have been reduced to 10 aircraft: 6 CRJ-900 and 4 Saab 2000.

"Adria Airways announces that it will continue with temporarily ceased majority of its flight operations also on Thursday, 26 September and Friday, 27 September.

During these two additional days, the company will maintain a connection to its most important hub in Frankfurt. The Airline plans to operate on both days evening flights on route Ljubljana - Frankfurt - Ljubljana.

Adria Airways is still leading active discussions with potential new owners and major creditors and remains dedicated in reaching positive solution for all.

Adria Airways still advises its passengers to check who their carrier is before they arrive at the airport and if it is Adria Airways then they should contact sales offices where tickets were purchased.

The company deeply regrets that it will continue with disruptions in next two days and apologizes to all its passengers and partners.

Flight indeed canceled. LH operates one A319 at 13h from WRO to MUC. Rebooked on that one.

If Adria collapses, is there a chance SN would take over the BRU-LJU flight? Wizzair is also ceasing its flight from Charleroi to Ljubljana.

Adria Airways remains almost totally grounded for three more days. But one Brussels flight should be operated on 30 September.
