Air Belgium in 2018

Re: Air Belgium in 2018
From Air Belgium social media: We have been issued our Operating Permit by China's Civil Aviation Authority. A new milestone in the launch of our first China mainland service, to Zhengzhou, Henan.
Re: Air Belgium in 2018
Can someone explain what this means? Thought air Belgium lost Chinese partner and was going to focus on ACMI, not scheduled flights? Thanks
Re: Air Belgium in 2018
The scheduled flights were to resume from Summer 2019.
Re: Air Belgium in 2018
They should really improve their corporate communications. I’ve never seen such unprofessional communication from an airline company.
What is their key message? What are they trying to tell/sell ? Posting pictures of unreadable content and unknown people to the general public makes no sense at all...

Re: Air Belgium in 2018
I agree their communication is rather messy, but on the other hand, if you look at the latest press release on their website (https://www.airbelgium.com/en/press/med ... belgium-en), it's rather clear:
"Air Belgium confirms that it is to temporarily pause its flights from Charleroi Airport to Hong Kong during the coming winter period. The interruption will be effective from October 1, 2018 until March 30, 2019. (...) During the pause Air Belgium will continue operating for other legacy airlines and focus on launching its air service to Mainland China, such as Zhengzhou. We are maintaining our development plans."
The fact that even good informed people on this forum didn't get this message, is then again a proof that they should indeed drastically improve their communication...

« We are maintaining our development plans ». Sure you are. We just all wonder when they’ll become a sustainable reality... Up to now, it’s a a complete different story compared to what’s been told at the beginning.

Re: Air Belgium in 2018
Air Belgium is doing a governmental flight between Charles-de-Gaulle and somewhere via somewhere else !

OO-ABE is currently coming back from Tenerife South to Charleroi, as it flew for TUI as flight TB5753 (Brussels flight transfered to Charleroi due to Aviapartner strike), should depart during the beginning of next week to Liège for some touch and goes. Too early to say when exactly.

Re: Air Belgium in 2018
French military may be....Air France was operating a lot of cargo flight for them, they just have 2 777F nowadays ( I think), so capacity to support deployment abroad is quite limited.

About that flight to Noumea, it might be related to this event on Sunday:

Re: Air Belgium in 2018
When the French Prime Minister visited New Caledonia last December, an all-business class aircraft was leased for the return flight. The rumour in France was that the Armée de l'Air A340 is not comfortable enough for such long flight.TLspotting wrote: ↑04 Nov 2018, 17:57HI,Inquirer wrote: ↑02 Nov 2018, 06:55 About that flight to Noumea, it might be related to this event on Sunday:

Edouard Philippe is again in Noumea on Monday 05NOV, coming from Vietnam, and his agenda for the day ends with a meeting to take place at the airport at 20h45.

Could it be that OO-ABA will bring him back home?
I can only imagine the French press taking photos of their Prime minister disembarking from an AIR BELGIUM aircraft !
