VLM Airlines news 2014-2015

VLM is looking for A320 / A330 captains and first officers.
Primary work location: VLM Airlines Brussels - Brussels Airport.

So we can see future long hauls operations of VLM in Brussels?
3 bases makes it quite complex for a starting carrier, no ?
Best regards,

VLM is going to operate three new routes out of Antwerp. These are Bermingham, Munich and Maribor. The flights to Maribor will be flown with a stop in Munich, so they have the two routes at once.
All of these flights will be operated once a day, on weekdays with Fokker 50's, as of 12 February.

So no stopover in Zürich, which was announced earlier.
Zürich will be operated as a single flight from 22 January.

All of these flights start at a single-way price of €59.00.

VLM Airlines will operate flights from Antwerp to Birmingham, Munich and Maribor starting 12th February 2018
Also new flights between Munich and Maribor
VLM Airlines will commence flights from Birmingham to Antwerp from 12th February. The airline will also fly from the same date two other new routes: Antwerp-Munich and Munich-Maribor (Slovenia). These new routes are to be added to the existing Antwerp-London City Airport route and the flights between Antwerp and Zurich, which will be operated from 22nd January. VLM Airlines is offering on all new routes one daily service in each direction with a Fokker 50 on weekdays.

Well, I think the idea is not to fly to Maribor with a stop in Munich on 2 tickets, but on 1...

From what I hear they are training pilots to operate 2 A330-200s from BRU to China...

I can't imagine this will make Air Belgium too happy... since they applied for their AOC and announced service to China you have Hainan who increased service, Cathay on the HKG route and now VLM with 2 Airbuses to China...

Which is certainly true. Brussels Airport themselves said that BRU is only the 9th intercontinental destination from Shenzen, so there are probably more than enough other airports where there is less concurrence for AB.

Antwerp-Milan is "Skyscanner Unserved Route of the Week" with 45,000 searches; VLM Airlines' next venture?

In the last 12 months, Skyscanner’s Travel Insight software has shown that over 45,000 potential travellers searched on the leading flight comparison site for flights between Antwerp and Milan ‒ but the city pair is unserved!? Resurgent VLM Airlines, based again at Antwerp, could be a ready-made solution provider, or perhaps someone like bmi regional might be better suited to the city pair.

The Vizion Air unit will be back in 2 weeks, no worries. Meanwhile Vizion Air uses one of the other F50. We love being partner of VLM!
