SN nov. news..bLight menu prices raised..

Post by cathay belgium »

Hi,

Today I've flown arj85 oo-djx .. and noticed the sweet 'menu' raised in price..
to five euros ... ( drink and muffin or waffle ). ( no warmdrinks due to no hot water... system broke down)
No indexjump here haha...
New menu.. schweppes agrum included now and kidibul..
Still think this is just b******t , better serve everyone a free drink and sweet or doritos and raise ticketprice that small bit..and make a small difference with lcc !

In the magazine, 1 arj85, 1 733, 1 734, 5 dash8,... so guess we know the reg of the backup plane..

I knOw this is no news but just for fun here.. ;)

Greetz,

Hi,

Flight was quite well, delay of 20 minutes due to equipment change,.. nice takeoff but very cloudy and a bit of turbulence. Loadfactor very good ( guess 70/100 ),.. even business and 6/7 rows bflex,.. and a criminal which was guarded by two police officers in the back row, they got a meal,... which smelled well haha,..
Is SN getting paid for this? bflex, bbusiness??
Took the normal train to the centre instead of the nice flytoget highspeed train,..have a tight budget ;)
But went even smooth...
Oslo is.. Rainy, dark, and a bit of snow over here,... saw only hotel and resto for now..

Those are full flexible Y tickets, you really don't want to know how much they catch for those DEPA+escorts tickets.
However, the mandatory procedure is that they don't receive the meal, but a "compensation" from the bLight sales for free. This to avoid the situation that you had: the look and smell of a nice meal served to 2/3 people in the back while you have to pay for your sandwich and drinks...

I'll get rid of the meal as long as I can fly as a free pax ;)

Does it mean that initially it should have been a RJ100? Because there is only one RJ85 left...

DEPA + escorts are always booked in b.flex because they need to be able to be rebooked in case of problems (not every DEPA is as willing to go as most other passengers). A reduced fare b.light ticket would see them loose their tickets in such cases...

Seating is always in the back of the plane however in order to be easily and quickly deboarded via rear stairs and a separate bus in case of irregularities, both of which are normally waiting in position till the plane leaves the gate.

So yes, DEPA brings in money, but they costs extra money too and they are often an extra headache to the crew. 'Criminals' as Cathay Belgium said are most of the times the most pleasant and easy DEPA; the real headaches are the 'sans papiers' who are willing to fight and scream just to be able to stay in Belgium....
