Thanks for coming on board and welcome to Luchtzak.

As you can read above, there are several questions already:
  • When will you start flying?
  • Are you really going to use the A318?
  • What will be your network?
  • As a feeder airline, whom are you going to feed?
  • Will LGG be your hub?
  • Do you get support from nationa, regional or local authorities?
Thanks in anticipation for your replies.

I'd say many of those are secondary questions only: the key questions should be, IMHO:

what is your corporate structure? (stand alone, affiliated to others, subsidiary of an exisiting airline)

what is your business concept? (low cost, leisure carrier, business oriented airline or everything mixed)

what is your route structure? (point-to-point traffic or hubbing and connecting through LGG)

what do you think your market share is going to be and needs to be to turn a profit and where do you think to get that from?

where do you think to find the funding to start up the project and how much do you think will be needed?

Oh, and finally on a lighter note: why the weird name?
It sounds like a pornographic movie to me... :P

Excuse me for saying this BeOnTop, but your reply above is purely focusing on details like a slogan, the logo or the name, rather than the much more important strategical aspects of the project. Now, you obviously don't need to share anything stragetic with us, but since you've proposed to do so yourself, you might as well want to answer the elementary and to-the-point questions (see above), maybe?

Or is there simply not much to tell, other than that it's your wet dream to set up your own airline but are still trying to come up with a solid business case to make that dream come true?

Normally, one does things the other way round, if you don't mind telling me: it's never a good sign if an airline is looking for a clear reason for being even before its launch!

Do you really expect that any kind of official communication would come through a forum of discussion on Internet?

There was no official communication yet from BeOnTop Airlines.
The Only official answer you will obtain is the one that you get when you apply through their website:
“Thank you for your interest in BeOnTop Airlines...
Presently, BeOnTop Airlines is a mature project but not yet an airline…
In the mean time, check regularly our website where the recruitment forms will be available.
Please reapply through our website once the company will be officially launched.”

Nothing else !

FWIW, they might be having an absolutely brilliant idea simply nobody thought of before, like serving Central Africa on low density narrowbody Airbusses for instance. ;)

They're based in LGG, so TNT could take care of the luggage...

Just kidding of course, although a certain ex-member of this forum has far more time available now that he has decided to quit the site and no longer entertains us with his crazy business plans, so who knows, right?

On a related note:
as from Sunday, SN will start wetleasing a plane to replace their temporary A319 ops to DKR with and to have a more sustainable way to keep serving DKR while they try to get their 5th freedom rights back and thus reinstate the triangulars. As from next week, we will thus see no less than 6 long haul bound planes at the T gates at BRU!

on a different forum, someone posted a (very friendly) reply for "Yves Cartilier" from Beontop. It's the person who always respond if you mail them.
They confirmed their interest for A319 and A318 and confirmed they want to be feeding up to 5 hubs in Europe to give up to 800 destinations, but they say feeding will not be their only goal.

BeOnTop is a joke.

Just look at their logo: it looks like it's "designed" by a 11-year old boy with Paint. Not to mention the ridiculous name itself...
