Re: Brussels Airlines in 2021

This is coming rather from the past. The legacy wannabe positioning of Austrian Airlines was "Focus East" - in the early 2000s they had over 100 planes, flying every small city in Eastern Europe and the Balkans. The bad thing is that the model wasn't flying, so ultimately they ended up wi...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2021

This would depend a lot on how the industry will look like in 10 years and how the brand and the product will be structured. As of today, BRU is used by the group as a Western Africa focused minihub. Maybe 2030 this won't make a lot of sense, eg if TAP would be acquired by LH. Narrow body P2P to th...

Not yet decided, but likely.
So, we won't need to find a new motto for the new company and can continue to use the good old "Always Late In Take-off, Always......." :) ;)

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2021

But if the situation is that bad and management has been repeatedly warned about it, the last resort is to go on strike, maybe for some selected flights as a starter/last warning. A strike in such an environment would be plain stupid. I hope they realize that. I couldn't agree more. I was just reac...

Hello, On 11,12,13 June 4 flights in total will be operated from BRU to LED. Flights are classified as "Charter Flights". Do they transport supporters? Possible or not. On the 12th there is also another SN BRU-LED flight but as a passenger and not charter this time ! SN1041 for Friday(OOS...

Does someone remember on what day these were suspended?
March 2020
Right, André; I went back to the 9th page on the 2020 thread: on March 17,2020, SN issued a press release informing all SN flights were suspended as of March 21....untill April 17 (!).

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2021

SN seems to have some difficulty sorting out their flight numbers for the Afi flights.
For example the BRU-Banjul-Dakar-BRU triangular rotation uses 217 or 221 or 317. Any sense to that?

Re: Alitalia saved by the Government and reborn as ITA

Alitalia is running out of cash just as negotiations with the EU to create a new national carrier are at a standstill. On the line are the €3 billion Italy is ready to inject into the new company. The airline paid only half of the March salaries in order to save cash. The EU wants the new company t...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

To me there are 3 possibilities. Third possibility: Network department and fleet department messed up and didn't realised yet that there is too much flight for the number or aircraft available and then flight would be cancelled. So, the flights planners didn't know how many aircraft they could use?...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

I'm wondering if Brussels Airlines could take over a A330 from the Eurowing ops for the summer? When you look at the summer time table, it looks like this: Monday 8 A330 Dakar/Banjul Abidjan/Cotonou Accra/Lomé Douala/Yaoundé Entebbe/Kigali Kinshasa New York Washington Tuesday 9 A330 Dakar/Banjul Ab...

Eurowings Discover (the new name of Lufthansa's Ocean project) to begin operating flights from Frankfurt to Barcelona and Rome on behalf of Air Dolomiti, beginning 01 April 2020 with A330-200s. Did you get it? Don't let April Fool's day fool you, André. Not last year, not this year, not next year!
