Good to see numbers rise like average.
I was just wondering, if they can manage profit/break-even at 65% LF, what could the profit be if they get LF at 75%?

Re: Replacement of SN's Avro RJ and B737 fleet
'might do it occasionally', you can hardly call that a consistent business class cabin/service. I agree with tolipanebas concerning NCB's ideas.
There is almost no one today that wants to pay a double/triple fare to just sit in a better seat/chair for an hour (or two) and a better meal.

One reaction on hln.be in meantime:
"Cessna 150'je na een harde landing van de baan geraakt. Neuswiel raakte kapot, geen gewonden. Waarschijnlijk 'de groenen' die dit weer hebben proberen op te blazen..."
Nothing major it seems... Luckily.

Skyteam and Star Alliance are still both possible, Jet keeps their options open, and makes sense if you look at there codeshares and frequent fliers partners. A small summary who Jet Airways codeshares with: Star Alliance: Air Canada, All Nipon Aiways, Brussels Airlines, United Airlines, (bmi). Skyt...

I'm pretty sure of that, as one engine costs 13-15 million, and at least two of them needs to be replaced.regi wrote: I am afraid this will be a multi million dollar repair.

Good old decent English quality? :D Remember what happened earlier this year with the Trent 1000, http://www.flightglobal.com/articles/2010/08/16/346215/rolls-royce-investigating-trent-1000-engine-failure.html that engine is certified since 2007 Not good PR for Rolls Royce at the least, you cant rea...

Wat voor piloot? Beroeps/prive/militair? Ingenieur: Industrieel/Burgerlijk? Waarover gaat je opdracht over ? (scriptie?)
Er zijn niet veel beroepspiloten met een ingenieursopleiding (al helemaal niet burgerlijk, die weten wel beter).

Re: Replacement of SN's Avro RJ and B737 fleet
Ok, maybe you are gaining (very) few passengers, but it's certainly not worth the extra cost of the more complicated/attractive paintjob. Cannot find a good source of the added cost, but this comes close (why had fedex change their c/s): "Eliminating the purple field can save as much as $1,000 ...

Re: Turkish to order either B747-8 or A380 soon
I think this is going to be an interesting one. They do have quite a big mixed Airbus/Boeing narrowbody fleet, fwiw They ordered recently quite some 77Ws, but won't the gap be too big from 300-seater 777 (currently largest) to a 500-seater A380? Realistically, I think this one is for Airbus. Althoug...

Re: LLB reports SN to look at JFK, SFO!
Although more widebodies are always nice, I think they should first expands their African network more. I think there is more to gain than in the TATL market for the near feature.
Does anyone know the rate of widebodies added over the past few years? It seems to me that they are adding 1 A330/year.

Re: Replacement of SN's Avro RJ and B737 fleet
The livery of Brussels Airlines is not that exciting, but neither is AF, LH, BA,... C/s is nice for spotters, but you are not gaining any passengers with it.
