Re: Ryan air Stress

In case their apu is broken, can't they ask to be connected to an external airco? I've seen planes being 'fed' with airconditioned air through a yellow tube in the past couple of days allover Europe, or is that something not available to ryanair because it costs too much to use? I suppose it is sti...

Re: Three Ryanair "emergency" landings in Valencia on same d

It's not really SOP, but most PU's would be aware, cause we need to know when fueling starts/finishes and also we are there when the fuel figures get passed to the fueler. Colleagues who are not that interested in the technical side of flying they will probably not take notice of these figures (nor ...

Re: Three Ryanair "emergency" landings in Valencia on same d

I stand by my statement here above. To me, as a passenger , Ryanair is as safe as any airline, and safer than most - especially those on the brink of financial collapse. cabin crew don't have any idea about fuel on board let alone pax... just pick any cabin crew out and ask her if she know how much...

Re: Three Ryanair "emergency" landings in Valencia on same d

Clearly someone who has been let go and feel he has to get closure by talking rubbish in the press. I'm not saying all of it is not true, partly yes, but safety is and always will be our crews primary concern. I have never ever felt unsafe when working, ever.

Re: CRL-MAN + LPL-BRU

The MAN flights ex CRL are done by MAN based crew so I would think announcements onboard are done in English only with exception of the safety demo which has a pre-recorded message in french as well. In general with CRL based crew announcements are done in English and french and with some PU's (like...

Re: Three Ryanair "emergency" landings in Valencia on same d

Seriously? All flightplan fuel calculations are as per EASA rules and the final decision lies with the captain to take more, without any restrictions! These aircraft were 1h10 min longer in the air than planned, no wonder they were running low on fuel. If there is anyone to blame in this case it is ...

I think the breakdown history of OO-TUC is well documented and known and does not need any additional fact statements :?

Re: Jetairfly to Phuket to Brussels via BKK

but to be honest: how long is this OO-TUC story going on allready? 5 years? 6 years? Time enough to find a bit more reliable 767 in my opinion :? There is nothing worse then starting your holiday with 14 hour delay, the same thing happened to me 2 years ago going to PUJ, also with OO-TUC. result: 12...

Re: Ryanair took off even after warnings it hit American B76

She is still a woman, but not sure she's still in the LHS. AFAIK, she was demoted to FO for about three months, had to take recurrent training but went on the LHS after that again. Sorry SD, that's bull, she is definatly NOT LHS and will not be for YEARS to come. Sean was that you piloting that pla...

Re: 30 million € state aid for Brussels Airlines (and others

If it wouldn't be a subsidy, it wouldn't have to be cleared by the european comission first, so yes, a tax break is a subsidy. The airline spends 30 million less in taxes, means they have 30 million more in their pockets no? @ MrBoeing, Care to explain why there is any difference between FR getting ...

Re: 30 million € state aid for Brussels Airlines (and others

I find it very interesting to read how on an Belgian aviation forum, there are so many negative comments from alledged aviation enthusiasts on what is a clearly positive stimulus program for Belgian airlines allowing them to compete effectively on a level playing field with foreign competitors. I w...
