Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
Parkings are very bad compared to other European airports. It's a black spot but already discussed before and everybody agreed. Can you share us the names of the European airport-parkings you use, and that are better? (by the way, I don't think that "everybody agreed" that Brussels Airpor...

Re: Move the national airport to Beauvechain?
one hour ? Antwerp-Brussels is 38 min, Liège-Brussels is 43 min with the high speed train. We can imagine without any issues a high speed train Beauvechain-Brussels in 20 or 25 min (compare to the 17 min now) But let's not forget most companies in belgium are in industrial zoning next the highways,...

Re: Move the national airport to Beauvechain?
The current location of BRU is i.m.o. a huge advantage in en economical point of view. It is a very attractive for business travellers who need to go to downtown Brussels or Antwerp. A airport an hour away from the city center would be less attractive, that is why in lots of other capitals they have...

Re: Move the national airport to Beauvechain?
Guys, when you want to construct a simple (120x70 meters) football stadium (Brussels, Bruges, ...) in this country you are lawsuited and sabotadged in every possible way and if you're lucky it takes about 10 years before you can put the first brick.

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
Just called TAP-callcenter to check the reservation for my wife and kids this Saturday. Confusing info, first operator told there are no flights yet to BRU until unkown date. AMS, ORY and LUX flights were are full for that day, so the only option was the extra Ostend-flight what would mean 8 hours o...

Re: Some good news for BRU: direct flights to Brasil soon?
It would make more sense if TAM was still member of Star Alliance to choose BRU. I think their problem is that their alliance partners in Europe BA and IB are both situated at huge and congested airports where it it probably is difficult or impossible to get te slots at the times that they would pre...

Re: Repositioning of BRU operations to other airports after attacks
Alitalia’s services which were originally scheduled between Rome and the Belgian capital, will operate to and from Liege (a Belgian town south-east of Brussels) up to 5 April included. The Liege airport represents the best temporary solution possible. However, the airport has a limited capacity and...

Re: Repositioning of BRU operations to other airports after attacks
Went to the TAP-desk here at Pinto Martins airport in Fortaleza, as the information on their site is rather unexisting about the BRU-situation. Their Brazil-callcenter is very busy and the terminal is only 10 minutes away so... The lady was't really helpful. "In the system the flight LIS-BRU f...

Re: Re-opening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
Does anyone know why there was such a traffic jam towards the airport this morning? Which activity on the airport is causing that much traffic? Are these reated to the 800 persons needed for the test (which only starts this afternoon)? Since Today I'm working at Zaventem (Da Vincilaan) and I should...

Re: Terror attacks: explosions in the departure hall of Brussels Airport!
Well then, I seem to be stuck here in Brazil (I must admit that there are worse places). My scheduled return flight is only next Saturday, 2nd April (TAP Portugal), but when I look at the huge damage it is well clear that it is something that is not going to be repaired in a couple of days. I can on...

Re: Qatar Airways plan to add Lisbon
What Lisbon really needs is a new airport with extra runways.
TP32 just diverted to Faro the morning after a 1h+ holding pattern due to congestion local of airspace.

Re: Qatar Airways plan to add Lisbon
EK already flies LIS daily with a 773, they will create the same problem as in DFW: overserved by ME-carriers and at the end everybody loses.

Well, I wish SN had it's own David Neeleman instead of LH as major shareholder who refuse to invest anything in any form of fleet modernisation (I don't call adding 15 year old planes modernisation...). Re: TAP Portugal has been sold
Yesterday, TAP entered a brand new cycle of its already long lifetime of 70 years in operation after the completion of the company’s re-privatization process — the acquisition of 61% of its share capital by the Atlantic Gateway Group, which is jointly owned by both the HPGB, SGPS Society, led by the...

Re: Where will you fly in 2016 ?
TAP was offering interesting discounts on their website in April this year, so we decided to book already for March 2016 8-) BRU-LIS-FOR-LIS-BRU (A320 series and A332 for the long haul) Maybe A343 on the LIS-FOR leg, always possible. Not to bad, because they just refurbished them with new interiors ...
