Re: Aviation Headset
The Bose A20 is indeed the best you can find. I use it even for my job as our cockpits are a bit noisy. This gives the great advantage to play some music in the background during longer flights via the Bluetooth connection. Before I used the Senheiser S1, cheaper but also less good.

Re: Mid Air Refueling
Please wake up, transporting fuel cost money. Do you really think that bringing the feul up in the air is cheaper then landing and refuelling first. On top don't forget the maximum working time of pilots, even with double crewing.

Again an example that you better hold or divert in this kind of weather situations. The cost or much higher in this case then the operational loss in case of divertion.

Re: re-positioning crew member?
Just a positioning crew member after his duty. You don't fly always round trips arriving back in home base. Sometimes you have to position (dead heading) to or from your duty start or end place.

Heb daar een simpele uitleg voor: buy cheap get cheap. Heel simpel, wil je betere service betaal er dan voor bij een andere duurdere maatschappij.

Re: Flaps a potential Achilles’ heel ?
Keep on dreaming of your airliners without flaps. Operational it is not possible. The list of reasons is even to big to mention.

Re: Flaps a potential Achilles’ heel ?
Without flaps and slats the take off and landing speeds will be to high to be safe. On the aircraft I fly a landing at max landing weight , 140T, it results in an approach speed of nearly 190Kts. The max tire speed is 195Kts. You never can design a wing that can cope with high and low speeds togethe...
