Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

To me there are 3 possibilities. Third possibility: Network department and fleet department messed up and didn't realised yet that there is too much flight for the number or aircraft available and then flight would be cancelled. So, the flights planners didn't know how many aircraft they could use?...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

I'm wondering if Brussels Airlines could take over a A330 from the Eurowing ops for the summer? When you look at the summer time table, it looks like this: Monday 8 A330 Dakar/Banjul Abidjan/Cotonou Accra/Lomé Douala/Yaoundé Entebbe/Kigali Kinshasa New York Washington Tuesday 9 A330 Dakar/Banjul Ab...

Eurowings Discover (the new name of Lufthansa's Ocean project) to begin operating flights from Frankfurt to Barcelona and Rome on behalf of Air Dolomiti, beginning 01 April 2020 with A330-200s. Did you get it? Don't let April Fool's day fool you, André. Not last year, not this year, not next year!

No, sorry, it was Delta. Video report on this by MileHighMati in the "Airlines Experience" topic.

I'm wondering if the crew that will bring back OO-SFG from AMM this thursday (?) is
the same that is now flying OO-SFE on its way to AMM (left BRU at 10:31).

Cheers, Alain.
Would be logical; maybe with a third pilot for possible delays.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2021

Yes, the flight to Freetown last week was a full-cargo flight, carrying medical equipment from "Medecin sans frontière" What I meant is "I assume it's only belly cargo". I don't think SN has any convertible A330. it only depends on if they like to take a risk on damaging the sea...

China takes stake in Norwegian Air Just to clarify, as your bold seems to suggest the Chines invested money in Norwegian, which is NOT the case. Outstanding debts from leasing have been converted into shares to avoid bankruptcy, it’s not an investment. I don't know the details of this particular de...

Re: Alitalia near bankruptcy. Can it be saved?

Corona is an excellent opportunity for the Italian government (and/or Alitalia's administrators) to do what has to be done. Close it down, blame it on the virus. My 2 cents: That should be done, but they'll do exactly the opposite. They'll use the virus as an excuse to pump in even more money... Ch...

3rd alert level at Charleroi, after a passenger from Luxembourg who landed at CRL was tested positive. It was a pax from Italy, afaik. That's indeed what our article says: a Luxembourg passenger coming from Italy ;) https://www.aviation24.be/airlines/coronavirus-a-luxembourg-passenger-arriving-from...
