Re: Which A330 next for Brussels Airlines?
One would have thought that with Jet moving its scisor hub (4 flights?) that you could imagine more than 1 airplane being added to take-over the market that Jet created or at least some of those flights. Taking over only one destination seems like a missed opportunity, but then again, perhaps reason...

Re: CRL to America ?
Don't they need to extend the runway first? When is that planned for? And how much could be saved on taxes by ticket flying between secondary airports? Would it really end up being "low cost"?

Re: SN Brussels Airlines to fly from Charleroi CRL ?
I believe they could quite easily transfer flights which are not feeder flights for the longhaul. Ryanair has proved that you can open destinations from Brussels south, and have high occupation rates and profitability as a cherry on the cake. How about a feeder flight arriving at BRU in the morning,...

Re: BA off stand busing typical @ BRU?
What's the bad deal with busses? Everytime I pass through munich, I always get a bus to and from (except on Longhaul planes). It allows for a much more efficient use of available space no? (and is a lot cheaper I would imagine). No one seems to complain over there and the transit is always super eff...

Re: Brussels airlines future and financial prospective?
Following is purely personnal interpretation Looking at 2010 vs. 2009, they have a negative cash flow (never a good thing on the long run). They also have a significant increase on their accounts receivable which may be partly based by an increase in volumes, but the increase is much more significan...

Re: Any chance for a new belgian company?
I fear that with the death Of Victor Hasson a few years ago (co-founder of EBA (which became Virgin express), City Bird, Birdy (sold later to SN Brussels), Belgium lost one of the only people willing to take the challenge and there is little hope for a new Belgian Flag Carrier. But never say never. ...

Re: new A319 for SN
why do the registrations start with OO-S..?
When it was SN brussels, I understood that, but why hasn't the S been replaced by the B of brussels airlines?
Just a question I was asking myself.

Re: Full take-over of Brussels Airlines by Lufthansa
To get back on subject, if they believe in being able to generate value through synergies, etc. they should do it asap, before the business developes further. Once they do this, they should rename the company to give it a name with more catch to it. Sabena would be great, but the way things are goin...

Re: Full take over Brussels airlines by lufthansa
I'm not too crazy about the Air Berlin name, but certainly better than Berlin Airlines. I tried googleing Panam but found nothing up and running. I used to travel all over the world with them when I was a Kid. They were all over the place. I have no idea what the Sabena name is worth. I imagine that...

Re: Full take over Brussels airlines by lufthansa
Brussels airlines is a name that has no aura to it. How does Amsterdam Airlines, Dublin Airlines, Barcelona Airlines, Washington Airlines sound to your ears (giving these just as examples). They don't sound great to mine, just as Brussels Airlines does not. It sounds small, lacking of ambition and r...

Re: 2011 Charleroi Airport (CRL) latest news
Thesalonika, Volos, Santiago de compostella Kos Lamezia Athens Belgrade These are 7 new destinations for 2011 right? Do those comprise the 5 that management announced (see top of the thread) at the beginning of the year? Probably more to come... Extend that runway already and make room for Longhaul...
