A tow truck below a Lufthansa Airbus A340-300 with Star Alliance livery (D-AIFA) named Dorsten has caught fire on Monday morning at Frankfurt Airport, the fire (flames) quickly spread onto the aircraft. Only minor damage to the aircraft, early reports stated*.
The aircraft was due to fly from Frankfurt to Philadelphia as LH426, the replacement aircraft is now D-AIGP, also an A340. According to Frankfurt airport authorities, six people were treated with various injuries.
