Thomas Cook has added an extra flight between Kos and Frankfurt to evacuate Belgian, German and Dutch tourists, website De Redactie writes.

65 Belgian citizens are unable to continue their holiday on the Greek island as the Continental Palace hotel has been severely damaged due to the recent earthquake. Eleven Belgians have been relocated to other hotels. A total of 1100 Belgian Thomas Cook customers are currently staying on the island, all the other hotels have been checked and are safe.

This evening a Thomas Cook UK Boeing 767 (G-TCCB) with flight number MT4801 landed at Frankfurt airport, where a bus will bring the passengers back to Brussels.
