NASA’s DC-8 aeroplane, nicknamed the world’s largest flying science laboratory, completed its final mission on April 1st after 37 years of service.
It will officially retire in May and become a teaching tool for future aircraft technicians at Idaho State University. The DC-8 supported numerous scientific projects by collecting data for NASA and various research institutions.
