An air traffic control and ground handling supplier strike in Italy will disrupt air traffic today (8 May) between 10:00 and 18:00 (UTC +2). A number of trade unions across Italy have called for this strike action. While hundreds of flights have been cancelled, leaving thousands of passengers stranded, the strike will not affect overflights or incoming intercontinental flights.
Passengers are advised to check with their airline to find out further information.
