Hasselt travel agency ASL Travel is organising a VIP charter flight for KRC Genk’s away game against … KAA Ghent in the upcoming UEFA Europa League 1/8 final.
Fans who pay 295 € will take off at Liège Airport (LGG) with a chartered ATR 72-200 and land at Kortrijk-Wevelgem airport (KJK) after a flight of just 160 km, from where a bus will bring them to a hotel to spend the night before the game. The next day starts with a city tour. After the match on the 9th of March, the VIP passengers will fly back with a departure at 00:30 and arrival at Liège airport at 01:15.
For this stunt, ASL Travel needs 55 passengers to break-even, but the flight will be guaranteed as from 40 passengers.
Will there be a similar flight in the opposite direction one week later for the return match?
Not enough participants, the flight is cancelled! (03/03/2017)
