“This entry provides genuine value for our customers, allowing them to access a strong and integrated supply chain,” Adam Harrison, General Manager for Shell Aviation Europe and South Africa, said. “We are pleased to be working closely with our new partners as we take an important leap forward in our European growth plan.”
With nearly 21.8 million passengers in 2016, Brussels Airport is the biggest airport in Belgium and one of the largest in Europe. Brussels Airport connects the de facto capital of the European Union to 226 destinations around the globe and is served by 77 airlines.1
As part of the new entry, Shell launched into-plane services for all its commercial customers, collaborating with Brussels Airfuels Services (BAS).
“We are delighted to be starting operations with Shell to provide a faster, more efficient service for customers flying into Brussels,” said Luc Janssens, General Manager at BAS. “We look forward to building a successful partnership that will help meet current customer demands while also increasing supply security at the airport.”
