A commuter train accident in northeastern Spain has left at least 20 people injured after a retaining wall collapsed onto railway tracks in the municipality of Gelida, near Barcelona. The incident occurred on Tuesday when the train struck the debris while carrying passengers.
Catalonia’s Civil Protection agency confirmed the accident, and regional emergency services deployed eleven ambulances to the scene. The circumstances surrounding the wall’s collapse and the severity of the injuries have not yet been disclosed.
