Light sports aircraft crashes near Stokrooie, Hasselt


This afternoon, a light sports aircraft en route to Zwartberg airport, Genk, has crashed near Stokrooie, Hasselt. The aircraft took off at Kortrijk-Wevelgem airport. The two passengers were killed in the accident.

Eddy Vandevoorde, from ASP Avionics (Zwartberg) said that the aircraft was flying to his company in Zwartberg to have communication equipment replaced.

The Belgian aviation authorities are currently on the scene and investigating the accident.

The belated aircraft seems to be OO-JKM, a Beech F33A Bonanza owned by Diamond Flight BVBA. (Source Flightradar24)
