All ten people (two pilots and 8 passengers) aboard a twin-engine Beechcraft B300 King Air 350i aeroplane (reg. N534FF) that crashed into a hangar at Addison Airport Sunday morning at 09:11 (UTC-5) have died, according to a town official. Emergency services were quickly on the scene, around 17km north of Dallas, but there were no survivors.
The FAA said the plane had just taken off from runway 15 before it crashed and was totally destroyed by the fire. Witnesses who saw the crash told local media that the private plane struggled during take-off and appeared to lose power.
There was no one inside the hangar at the time of the crash, but inside the hangar, a Dassault Falcon 900 jet and a helicopter sustained some damage.
The airport was closed for about 45 minutes after the crash, but operations later resumed as usual.
The NTSB will be in charge of further investigations into this crash.
