The Swedish Air Force marked its 100th anniversary on 1 July with a large-scale ceremonial flyover over Stockholm Castle.
From around 12:50, a total of 54 aircraft and helicopters participated in the display, making it one of the largest aerial formations in Sweden’s recent history. The flyover included formations of Saab JAS 39 Gripen fighters, transport aircraft, helicopters, and a dedicated formation of historic aircraft.
The event formed part of a wider jubilee day in Stockholm celebrating a century of Swedish military aviation, showcasing both modern operational capability and the country’s aviation heritage.
