A 60-year-old Lockheed C-130 of the Puerto Rico Air National Guard has crashed near Savannah on Wednesday morning. At least nine people have been killed. The crew was performing a routine flight from Savannah to Arizona and just took off at the airport of Arizona. The Puerto Rico National Guard is the air force militia of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, an unincorporated territory of the United States of America. It is, along with the Puerto Rico Army National Guard and the Puerto Rico State Guard, an element of the Puerto Rico National Guard.
The C-130 has been used in relief efforts for several hurricanes in the Caribbean, including Hurricane Maria last fall. But was now flown to Arizona to be decommissioned. Images and footage of the crash below.
