Italian Air Force scrambles for easyJet that lost radio contact

On 13 June, two Italian Air Force Eurofighter Typhoon’s scrambled to identify an easyJet Airbus A320 (registered OE-IZL *) that operated flight U2 2812 between Palermo and Milan Malpensa, Italy and lost radio contact with air traffic control. 

The flight uneventfully continued to Milan, but the fighter pilots took a few pictures on the route:
