Saab has signed a SEK 5.3 billion contract with Sweden’s Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) to supply the Royal Thai Air Force with four Gripen E/F fighter jets—three Gripen E and one Gripen F—along with equipment, support, and training. Deliveries are scheduled between 2025 and 2030.
As part of the agreement, Saab will provide a long-term offset package, including technology transfer, industrial cooperation, and new investments in Thailand’s economy. The country already operates a squadron of Gripen C/D fighters, and the new aircraft will integrate with its existing fleet to enhance strategic capabilities.
