The United States has signed a $235.5 million, three-year sole-source contract with Sabena Aerospace Engineering to provide intermediate and depot-level maintenance for Ukrainian F-16 fighter jets in Belgium through January 2029. The work will be carried out at Sabena’s facility in Charleroi-Gosselies and includes aircraft, engine and material management support.
The contract, awarded under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programme for Ukraine, is managed by the US Air Force Lifecycle Management Center at Hill Air Force Base. An initial $69.7 million in FMS funding has already been committed, supporting Ukraine’s growing F-16 operations supplied by international partners.
