Argentian professional football player Lionel Messi who plays as a forward and captains both Barcelona and the Argentina national team has acquired a Gulfstream V private jet (LV-IRQ). Messi already made use of his €13 million aircraft to watch the finale of the Copa Libertadores, the postponed second leg that was played at Santiago Bernabeu, Madrid on Sunday.

Messi already pimped his aircraft by adding his shirt number (10) on the tail of the aircraft and the names of his children on the aircraft stairs. His jet, with a maximum capacity of 16 passengers, has two bathrooms (one shower), and two galleys. The aircraft has been bought in the U.S. but is registered in Argentina as LV-IRQ.

Bart Noëth: Since 1996, I have been working in the Belgian airline industry, from a weekend job as a cabin aircraft cleaner to a flight attendant. After the demise of Sabena - in 2001, I created a website called, originally a meeting place for plane spotters and aviation freaks. Since 2017, the website changed into a professional news site. Next to aviation, I love to travel, wine and dine and enjoy my time off(-line) with my girlfriend, friends and family. My favourite football squad is KV Mechelen, I am an Ironman 70.3 finisher and my ambition is to complete a full Ironman.
