Embraer has revealed the Republic of Uzbekistan as the previously undisclosed customer for the C-390 Millennium military transport aircraft, making the Uzbek Air Force the first operator of the type in Central Asia.
The aircraft will be primarily used for transport and humanitarian missions, significantly enhancing Uzbekistan’s airlift and operational capabilities. Embraer highlighted the selection as an important step in modernising the country’s air force and expanding the C-390 programme’s global footprint.
The C-390 Millennium is the most modern aircraft in its class, offering higher payload, speed and range than comparable medium military transports. It supports a wide range of missions, including cargo and troop transport, medical evacuation, search and rescue, firefighting and operations from unpaved runways, and is fully interoperable with NATO forces.
