Embraer has confirmed that the first C-390 Millennium for the Republic of Korea Air Force has entered the final stage of assembly, marking a key milestone in Korea’s Large Transport Aircraft (LTA-II) programme. The aircraft will now move to production flights ahead of the integration of ROKAF-specific systems.
The development underscores rapid progress in Embraer’s partnership with South Korea and makes the country the first C-390 operator in Asia. Embraer highlighted strong industrial cooperation with Korean partners as it scales up global C-390 production.
The C-390 Millennium is the most modern aircraft in its class, offering higher payload, speed and range than comparable medium military transports. It supports a wide range of missions, including transport, medical evacuation, aerial refuelling, humanitarian relief and operations from unpaved runways, and is fully interoperable with NATO forces.
